English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

These three athletes have been honoured for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The three contenders were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.

The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on December 18th.

The ceremony will be aired from seven in the evening GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

A mere three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She entered the fray to score vital last-gasp goals in both the knockout stage games.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Subsequently, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the top young European talent.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for this honour is an honour," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in sensational style as - while still 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, shattering the previous record.

"Being nominated for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and surged to prominence with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.

"I'm deeply humbled to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it inspires more young women to get into cricket."
