Nico O’Reilly Another confident showing from the 20-year-old following his debut against another side. A teammate did not capitalize on full advantage of a clever flick over their defense. The role looks secure already. 7/10

The newcomer His first start with the national team. Somewhat loose when playing out though his dangerous set-pieces posed a danger. A handy tempo-setter available to the manager to call upon against sides that sit back. Booked after a reckless foul. 6/10

The midfielder Deliveries from corners and free kicks were dangerous. Enjoyed license to drift on the left only to be offside as the pass came in shooting positions. Awarded a well-earned rest around the 60-minute point. 6

Jude Bellingham Played in a forward spot out wide and also put in defensive duties. Demonstrated moments of class but scuffed an effort high. Withdrawn in the closing stages by a teammate, his competition, following a yellow card. 7/10

The winger Was presented with England’s clearest opportunity before halftime, his strike excellently kept out from the opposing goalkeeper. As a teammate hanging back, he was forced to offer an outlet on the right yet his deliveries into the box were inconsistent. Replaced late in the match. 6/10

The captain The difference-maker netting two more goals in an England shirt. His first a classic close-range tap-in while the second an excellent headed goal after peeling away off his defender. Now 32, his form is unwavering and the side have every chance next summer with him leading the line. 8

Eberechi Eze Found it tough to influence play out wide. Was presented with a decent opportunity following a pass by Bellingham yet Strakosha denied him. Rashford made much more of influence in his place. 5
