Paramount Skydance Will Cut Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – News

Skydance Paramount will start large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 US jobs within a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn under CEO David Ellison.

The layoffs follow the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August with a value of $8.4bn.

Additional international job cuts are expected, with the company planning to reveal full details in its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.

Previous updates had indicated the firm planned to cut between 2,000 and 3,000 roles before the start of November.

Until December 2024, the company retained nearly 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 project-based staff.

Paramount Skydance has not yet commented on the matter.
