Marnus Labuschagne Left Out from Australia's One-Day International Team Versus Team India

Labuschagne finds himself omitted from Australia's three-game ODI series facing India, with in-form Queensland colleague Matt Renshaw earning a unexpected selection.

Performance Issues Lead to Exclusion

The right-hander was left out from the ODI squad following managing only a single run in each of his two innings during the recent series against South Africa in August. Labuschagne has a highest score of forty-seven in his last 10 ODI batting appearances.

Labuschagne has featured in 68 ODIs and scored 1,871 runs at an average of 34.64, but will now focus on earning a return to the Test side ahead of the Ashes starting in Perth on 21 November.

Surprise Inclusion and Team Changes

There have been indications of a resurgence with a score of 160 for Queensland in the Sheffield Shield this week, while Renshaw made a hundred for the Bulls in the same game against Tasmania.

Renshaw could to make his ODI debut in the upcoming series against India after last being included in an ODI squad in 2022.

The left-hander has played 14 Tests with the most recent appearance in India in 2023 but is also aiming for a return to the Test team as Australia seek a fix to their opening batting issues.
