Former BBC Advisers Participate in MPs' Questioning After Assertions of Prejudice in Leaked Document
We start with inquiries from Tory Member of Parliament the committee chair, that oversees the panel.
She initiates by providing context to the unauthorized document prepared by Michael Prescott and released in the Telegraph.
"It is not my wish for the BBC leaning in any particular direction, My only wish is for it neutral, impartial and just," he says.
Upon being questioned whether he thinks the British Broadcasting Corporation is institutionally biased, Prescott answers: "Absolutely not. Let's be clear, tons of stuff the British Broadcasting Corporation does is world class - encompassing documentary and non-factual programming."
But he adds: "There exists significant effort that requires attention at the BBC."
A further ex-adviser British Broadcasting Corporation specialist questioned by the committee, Caroline Daniel, says she takes the British Broadcasting Corporation extremely earnestly and that it operates a "ongoing system and lively discussion" across fluid and multifaceted subjects.
"Whether the BBC was willing to have a thorough dialogue and exchange and take action?" she asks herself. "As I see it, yes they were."
