Ex- Doctor Faces Assault Allegations Involving 38 Patients
Prosecutors have stated that a ex- physician has been charged with performing assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were patients.
The Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
A deputy chief CPS official said, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Investigation
These allegations come after what investigators called a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant will appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the forty-five charges include:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
