Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

An aircraft carrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the jet's front window, according to an official announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft landed based on standard procedures and everyone onboard, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," an official representative stated in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital at the time.

This incident is not the initial instance that a American defense plane carrying a high-ranking official has experienced mechanical issues.

Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane transporting Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to head back to Washington after experiencing a technical issue.
